Towards the end of the 70s Waylon had achieved superstar status with his 'Outlaw' era albums. Although Waylon always disliked the 'Outlaw' tag, it didn't do his popularity any harm and with the albums that followed he went from strength to strength with increasingly more accessible and commercial albums.
