A multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist, he wrote, produced, and arranged all the music for a huge group including on average 20 musicians and a full gospel choir.

Musically he sounds like a cross between, Sly and The Family Stone, Parliament and Stevie Wonder, with a bit of Bobby Womack thrown in for good measure.

Compiled here for the first time is his complete RCA output on one double CD. The second album 'On The Road Again'was recently cited in Mojo Magazine as one of the 100 Soul Albums that everyone should own.
